ART AND APERTIF
posted: 09. 14. 16 Art and Apertif is a twice monthly meet and greet with local artists held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at Le Meridien hotel's Longitude 80 lounge. I'll be one of the artists this coming Wednesday the 21st, and will be on hand with artwork from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

ARTWORK AT BIRDSONG BREWING
posted: 09. 14. 16 I've sold bird-themed prints at Birdsong Brewing's taproom for a number of years now, and starting in October will also be their fourth quarter featured artist. I'll have work up around the taproom through December. 
AMERICAN EXPERIENCE EXHIBIT
posted: 09. 06. 16 The American Experience exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences has its own gift shop on the second floor, and I have prints of American woodland animals there for sale, in addition to prints in the main gift shop.

ANITA STROUD PARK MURAL
posted: 09. 02. 16 Progress on a large mural at Anita Stroud Park is currently underway. The city of Charlotte commissioned artist Julio Gonzalez (wonderwhatif.com) to oversee the project, called No Barriers, which includes murals on the ceiling and concrete pad of a gazebo, and nearby staircase. I was contracted to create and help execute the mural designs. 
KESTREL FUNDRAISER
updated: 08. 28. 16 I designed a tee shirt for the American Kestrel Partnership's fundraiser. The shirts will go on sale July 11. 
Bird advocate and woodworker Don James of Carstairs, Alberta, Canada asked to use the kestrel design in a custom table for the Alberta Institute of Wildlife Conservation silent auction fundraiser. Below are pics of the one-of-a-kind table, made of 100 year old barn floor white spruce and Douglas fir repurposed with diamond willow accents.

FUR BALL GALA
posted: 08. 23. 16 I was asked to create an original piece of art for the SPCA of Wake County Fur Ball Gala. The painting, shown below features sixteen portraits of dogs, cats, and a rabbit, many based on shelter animals. 
COWFISH OPENS IN ATLANTA
posted: 07. 24. 16 The Cowfish sushi burger bar recently opened their newest restaurant location in Atlanta. I was commissioned to make artworks for the new location including large lego sculptures. 
BUTTERONI'S OPENING SOON IN NODA
updated: 07. 15. 16 Artist Christina Welsh is opening Butteroni's Emporium and Fairy Forest soon at Area 15 in NoDa. The eclectic store will sell her own custom fashions as well as works by artists such as Lori Love, Mary Digby, Linda Vista, Sharon Dowell, Lauren Reddick, and myself. Butteroni's Emporium and Fairy Forest is located at 516 15th Street at Area 15 in Charlotte - look for the big orange and black doors. 
PAINTING COMMISSION
posted: 07. 15. 16 I recently finished a large painting commission for a couple in Charlotte. The 40" x 60" piece depicts elements of the North Carolina coast. 
FREE RANGE BREWING JUNE SHOW
updated: 07. 11. 16 Along with Francisco Gonzalez, I was the featured artist in June at Free Range Brewing in NoDa. In July, I'll be part of a group show at Free Range called Cultivating Community. 
MOO & BREW ARTWORK
posted: 06. 03. 16 I had the opportunity to create some artwork for the new Plaza Midwood burger and beer joint Moo & Brew. The two bathroom door murals convey themes related to the neighborhood history - a now mostly displaced rose garden and the iconic Reflection Sound Studio. Moo & Brew is located at 1300 Central Avenue in Charlotte. 
FLUFFY BREAKS EVEN
posted: 05. 21. 16 Some of my artwork appeared recently in an episode of Fluffy Breaks Even. In this goofy reality show on Fuse, comedian Gabriel Iglesias and his crew sample local cuisines as they tour America, and are subsequently forced to burn off the calories through difficult workouts. When the guys visit Charlotte, they dine at The Cowfish with Panthers coach Ron Rivera, and one of my cowfish sculptures appears on screen for a second.

GENOME POP UP SHOW
posted: 05. 17. 16 After being part of many Genome Gallery shows in their previous location in the Latta Arcade, I'm happy to once again be participating in Genome's latest phase, the first event of which is a Pop Up show at the Art Hole in NoDa.
